Position Overview:

As an Onsite Refresh Tech at Encore Technologies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition and upgrade of technology resources for our clients. You will be responsible for the physical setup, configuration, and deployment of new hardware and software, as well as the removal and disposal of outdated equipment. Your attention to detail, technical proficiency, and excellent customer service skills will be vital as you interact directly with clients to ensure their technology refresh needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and clients to understand refresh requirements, project scope, and timelines.
  • Travel to client sites to perform technology refresh activities, adhering to established schedules and minimizing disruption to client operations.
  • Unbox, set up, configure, and test new hardware and software according to client specifications.
  • Perform data migration and ensure seamless transfer of user data from old to new systems.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure all systems are operational, updated, and compliant with security protocols.
  • Remove and dispose of old equipment in an environmentally responsible manner, following company procedures and regulations.
  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during the refresh process to address any unforeseen issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all equipment deployments, configurations, and client interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of the refresh and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve processes and contribute to the knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant coursework preferred.
  • Proven experience in technology deployment, hardware setup, and software installation.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to follow processes accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of data migration and backup processes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various client sites as required.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and perform tasks in various settings.
