The Senior Advanced Engineering Technician will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.

Job Description:

• Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
• Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
• Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems

Requirements:

• Must be able to clear a 7 year background check.
• Must be able to clear a drug screening.
• Must be a U.S Citizen.
• An Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions.
• Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards and practices.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at or soon after time of hire.
• Must be able to understand and interpret complex drawings & schematics, often working from redline drawings, mechanical & electrical drawings.
• Must be able to perform complex troubleshooting down to component level. (You will need to know why it failed, which component failed & why.)

Pay: $ 51.33/hr.

Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday.
