About the Role:

The company is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering with a passion for building scalable technology solutions in a startup environment. This role will be pivotal in defining and executing the company’s engineering strategy, focusing on AI-driven product development, cost-effective infrastructure, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, leadership experience, and a proactive, collaborative approach to growing and empowering an engineering team in a resource-conscious setting.

Responsibilities:

• Set the technical direction for AI and engineering projects, ensuring the team builds high-impact, scalable solutions that align with business goals- leading development in areas such as NLP, recommendation systems, and workflow automation.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Drive the end-to-end development and deployment of AI-driven products, ensuring high standards for quality, reliability, and performance. Work closely with product management to translate requirements into technical solutions that deliver user and business value.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and data pipelines, focusing on cost efficiency, scalability, and resource management- streamline operations and improve cost savings through effective engineering solutions.
• Partner with product, data, and business teams to align engineering priorities with company objectives and ensure seamless integration of AI models into products.
• Embrace the dynamic nature of a startup environment, applying a growth mindset to overcome challenges, adapt processes, and scale technology to support rapid business expansion.

Skills:

• Technical Expertise

  10+ years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in AI/ML technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern development frameworks (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

  
  

• Leadership Experience

  Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in high-growth or startup environments.

  
  

• Product-Focused Mindset

  Experience in building and launching AI-powered products, with a deep understanding of how to translate business needs into technical solutions. Previous work on NLP, automation, or recommendation engines is a plus.

  
  

• Operational Efficiency

  Skilled in optimizing engineering processes, cloud costs, and data infrastructure to support business objectives and budget constraints, with a focus on lean, cost-effective operations.

  
  

• Business Acumen & Communication

  Ability to bridge technical and business goals, effectively communicating complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders and aligning team efforts with overall company strategy.

  
  

Compensation Package:

Base salary of $325,000 with equity options, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
