Test & Integration Engineer - Infotainment V&V (Full Benefits Package)

Akkodis is seeking a Test Engineer for a full-time position on our team over the next few years near the San Jose, CA area. The Test & Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing the comprehensive test procedures based on system requirements. This role combines technical expertise in test development with hands-on verification and validation experience. You'll create detailed test procedures, execute validation testing, and provide thorough documentation of results. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the product quality and compliance with specifications. This role supports the Principal Engineer of Validation in the hardware platform development department, while focusing on ensuring product reliability and performance through systematic testing approaches.
Pay Range: $160,000 to $200,000/yr (commensurate based on experience level)

Test Engineer job responsibilities include:
Test Procedure Development and Documentation (40%)
- Develop comprehensive test procedures from system requirements and specifications
- Create detailed test plans and cases ensuring complete coverage of requirements
- Document test methodologies, procedures, and results with high attention to detail
- Maintain and update test documentation based on product evolution and feedback
Test Execution and Validation (40%)
- Execute test procedures following established protocols and standards
- Perform electrical and functional testing of hardware components
- Analyze test results and identify potential issues or anomalies
- Support automation of test procedures where applicable
- Maintain test equipment and ensure proper calibration
Cross-functional Collaboration (20%)
- Work with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to refine test procedures
- Communicate test results and findings to relevant stakeholders
- Participate in design reviews and provide testing perspective
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree is required, preferentially electrical engineering or computer science.
- Greater than five years of relevant experience in test development, verification and validation within a hardware development environment.
- Prior automotive electronics testing and validation experience is highly preferred though will consider from other related transportation industries (aerospace, rail, etc).
- Experience in developing comprehensive test procedures from system requirements
- Proven experience in design verification and hardware testing
- Strong background in quality assurance engineering and system testing
- Expertise in developing and executing test plans, creating test cases, and analyzing test results
- Proficiency in test automation and scripting languages
- Experience with electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters)
- Knowledge in identifying and resolving hardware product design flaws
- Experience with different engineering validation stages and phases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
