As a Contract Test Engineer - DV, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our hardware platform designs. The Test Engineer – DV will contribute to our design verification efforts, supporting testing and validation processes to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements. Their expertise will be instrumental in identifying and resolving design flaws, optimizing performance, and enhancing product reliability. The Test Engineer - DV will support the Principal Engineer - Validation, who supports the hardware platform development department.

Role Responsibilities:

Product Development, Testing, Validation, and Compliance (70%)

Ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with project objectives

Support the development and implementation of test procedures, methodologies, and automation frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and drive resolution

Execute test strategies tailored to specific project objectives and requirements, considering factors such as performance, reliability, safety, and compliance

Support the design verification process for hardware platform development projects

Define test strategies, create test plans, and execute test cases

Team Collaboration (30%)

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and quality assurance specialists

Support design verification and hardware testing, providing support to team members across various stages of the product development lifecycle

Foster a collaborative working environment by actively engaging with different teams to address and solve problems

Work closely with software, hardware, and mechanical teams to bridge technical gaps, contribute insights, and facilitate effective communication

Required skills needed:

Proven experience in design verification and hardware testing

Experience in quality assurance engineering and system testing

Knowledge in developing and executing test plans, creating test cases, and analyzing test results.

Proficiency in scripting and automation languages and familiarity with test automation frameworks

Experience in collaborating with several different teams, including SW engineering, HW engineering, and mechanical engineering teams

Knowledge in identifying and resolving hardware product design flaws

Experience with different engineering validation stages and phases

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues

7+ years of relevant experience in design verification and validation in a hardware development environment

Required Education:

Associate degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related work experience
