The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to take ownership of facility-wide electrical systems and automation in a dynamic food manufacturing environment? Our client seeks a talented professional to serve as their dedicated Subject Matter Expert for all electrical systems, controls, and automation technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the facility's subject matter expert for all electrical systems and controls
  • Manage and optimize production systems, including hardware, software, and networks
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of plant electrical and control equipment
  • Lead installation, programming, and repairs of control and measurement systems
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Production, IT, and HSE teams
  • Support and train maintenance staff in automation systems
  • Manage third-party contractors for engineering support and modifications
  • Drive energy efficiency initiatives while maintaining product safety standards
  • Create and implement risk assessments for new projects
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in industrial control systems
  • Experience with both low and high voltage device troubleshooting
  • Project management experience
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends

Location & Schedule

  • Boyceville, Wisconsin
  • Flexible working hours
  • Limited weekend work required (can be flexed during the week)
  • No regular travel requirements
