GRC Platform Lead
Solomon Page, New York City, NY, United States
Our direct global corporate financials client is seeking to add a dynamic GRC Platform Product Lead to their team in a long term contract consulting capacity (possibility of conversion to FTE down the line for the right candidate). This role requires a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable driving execution, managing projects, and engaging with stakeholders. You will manage and optimize the GRC technology landscape, primarily RSA Archer and AuditBoard—by owning and executing a strategic roadmap, managing backlogs, and implementing enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap Development:
- Develop and manage a GRC product roadmap that aligns with organizational objectives, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
- Prioritize application features and enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders, leveraging your ability to shift from high-level strategic planning to hands-on execution.
- Continuously scan the GRC landscape for new solutions and practices, integrating these to enhance product capabilities.
Product Ownership & Backlog Management:
- Own the GRC product backlog, balancing immediate business needs with longer-term strategic goals.
- Write and refine detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring they are actionable for technical teams and clear for non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain a hands-on approach to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and story prioritization to deliver timely and valuable product improvements.
Change Management, Execution & Delivery:
- Lead change management processes using tools like DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence, ensuring seamless implementation of application updates and enhancements.
Client Management / Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Audit, and IT teams to identify needs and translate these into product improvements, bridging technical requirements and client expectations.
- Regularly communicate product status, roadmap updates, and changes to stakeholders, adapting communication styles to align with client priorities and technical requirements.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Define and track KPIs to assess GRC application performance, identifying and implementing improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Develop and present dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key metrics, helping guide organizational decisions and monitor adoption.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) technology, preferably with strong hands-on expertise in RSA Archer and AuditBoard.
- Proven track record in project management, change management, and client engagement, with experience in Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, DevOps, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001) and risk management principles, with the ability to translate these into functional application features.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly transition between hands-on execution, project management, and client-facing roles.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, with a proven ability to engage cross-functional teams and adapt to stakeholder needs.
- Solid project management skills with experience in Agile and Lean methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and iterative delivery.
