Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to internal and external handover and kickoff meetings.
- Professionally represent the company when interacting with clients and vendors.
- Manage electrical design aspects of assigned projects and be responsible for meeting project commitments including design releases, schedules, and material selection.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical 2021 or later with a high degree of skill in using smart blocks and assigning attributes in design drawings.
- Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
- Make final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions of parts, electrical connections, and interconnection requirements for the entire project.
- Utilize knowledge of design engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Draft detailed multi-view drawings of electrical panels and control systems.
- Draw finished designs from sketches.
- Follow drafting and industry norms (UL508A/ANSI) and company’s engineering standards.
- Follow and maintain an organized file system for production drawings.
- Convert existing production drawings to AutoCAD Electrical 2021 or later.
- Communicate with QA, engineering, and manufacturing regarding new and revised prints.
- Assist in panel testing and inspections following Control Infotech standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Advanced understanding of engineering theories and principles.
- Advanced understanding of practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing/presenting recommendations for review/approval.
- Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Travel Requirements
This position will involve some local travel.
