About the Role:
This hands-on contract role requires technical expertise and some management skills, allowing you to step in as a Process Lead or Project CAD Coordinator as needed. You’ll be directly involved in complex design and engineering tasks, contributing to the success of large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects within a dynamic environment.
Key Benefits:

Core Responsibilities:
- Process Engineers: Design, develop, and lead the technical requirements of critical utility systems, handling technical analyses and complex problem-solving aligned with project specs. Occasionally step in to lead the Process team.
- Process Designers: Oversee Smart Plant P&ID production, coordinate with Project Management and Discipline Leads, and ensure quality and timely delivery of drawings. Assign tasks to the Smart Plant P&ID CAD team, maintaining schedule and quality standards.
Requirements:
- For Both Roles:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (minimum) for Engineers
- EPC Experience (preferably with A&E firms, such as Fluor)
- Hands-On Role: Prior management roles in the last 10–20 years may not align; this role requires direct, hands-on technical engagement.
- Technical Skills:
- Process Engineers: P&ID development, process simulation, HAZOP/PHA analysis, and advanced technical calculations.
- Process Designers: Proficiency in Smart Plant P&ID, backchecking, and project CAD coordination.
- Additional Skills for Engineers:
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal/state/local regulations, especially DOE orders.
- Communication & Collaboration: Able to effectively liaise with management, colleagues, and vendors.
- Computer Skills: Intermediate competence in standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 3D Modeling Experience: Proficiency in CAD software for EPC projects is essential.
Preferred Qualities:
- PE license and familiarity with ASME NQA-1 standards.
- Proven experience in EPC services for large industrial ventures.
- Some leadership capabilities, with a hands-on approach to technical work.
