We are currently expanding our reach into new markets, with an immediate focus on Houston. We’re seeking a Senior Videographer to join our team for the Afrotech Conference 2024, with the possibility of future contract work based on performance.

Job Description:

We are searching for a highly skilled Senior Videographer to document the Afrotech Conference from November 12-17, 2024, in Houston, TX. This role will involve capturing dynamic video footage of keynote speeches, panels, workshops, and networking events. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality video recap that reflects the energy, innovation, and culture of Afrotech. Outstanding performance during this event could lead to continued contract work with OBam Productions as we expand in Houston.

Key Responsibilities:

• Film a wide range of conference activities, including keynote presentations, panel discussions, networking events, and candid attendee interactions.
• Capture the energy and atmosphere of the conference in both live-action footage and candid moments.
• Work closely with the OBam Productions team to understand the visual direction and deliver a polished final product.
• Edit and produce a dynamic highlight reel that encapsulates the Afrotech experience for promotional use on social media and other platforms.
• Manage audio and lighting to ensure the best possible quality in all recorded content.
• Provide timely turnaround for video editing to meet client deadlines.
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a high-energy, fast-paced event environment.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional videography experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing large-scale event coverage.
• Proficiency in using professional video equipment, including cameras, stabilizers, lighting, and microphones.
• Expert knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Ability to quickly produce high-quality, engaging video content under tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of storytelling through video, with the ability to capture the essence of the event.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both the OBam Productions team and clients.
• Familiarity with tech industry conferences, particularly Afrotech, is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill set, with potential for future contracts if the conference video is well received.
