We are currently expanding our reach into new markets, with an immediate focus on Houston. Our team is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Photographer to join us at the upcoming Afrotech Conference from November 12-17, 2024, with the potential for future contract opportunities.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Photographer to provide exceptional event coverage during Afrotech 2024 in Houston, TX. You will be responsible for capturing high-quality images of keynote speakers, panel discussions, networking events, and attendee interactions. Your work will reflect the energy and innovation of the conference, creating visual stories that highlight the Afrotech experience. If successful, this role could lead to ongoing contract opportunities with OBam Productions as we expand into the Houston market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture dynamic and high-quality images of conference events, including speaker sessions, panels, workshops, and networking activities.
• Work closely with the OBam Productions team to ensure the photography aligns with our creative vision and the client’s needs.
• Deliver a wide range of photos, from candid shots of attendees to posed group photos of executives and guests.
• Edit and retouch images in a timely manner for quick turnaround and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with the event production team and ensure all visual assets meet professional standards.
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional photography experience, preferably in event and corporate photography.
• Proven track record of shooting large-scale events and working in dynamic environments.
• Proficiency with professional photography equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting, etc.) and editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
• Ability to quickly capture moments that tell a story and reflect the essence of the event.
• Strong portfolio showcasing event and corporate photography.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Familiarity with the tech industry and Afrotech culture is a plus.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly pay pending on client and project needs.
