Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Charles River Production Support Specialist to join our Technology Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert support for the Charles River Investment Management Solution (IMS), ensuring the seamless operation of production environments for investment management, trading, and portfolio management. You will work closely with business users, developers, and other IT teams to identify and resolve issues, manage system configurations, and ensure the optimal performance of Charles River IMS in production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Support
- Provide day-to-day support for Charles River IMS in production, including incident management, problem resolution, and user inquiries.
- Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and availability of the Charles River platform, addressing issues in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the Charles River IMS environment, including order management, portfolio management, trading, compliance, and risk modules.
- Collaborate with business users (portfolio managers, traders, compliance officers) to understand system issues and resolve them effectively.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and work to implement long-term solutions.
- System Maintenance
- Perform regular system checks, upgrades, and patches to ensure the Charles River IMS system is up to date and operating efficiently.
- Assist in system enhancements and configuration changes, working with development teams to implement necessary adjustments.
- Manage integration points between Charles River IMS and other internal systems (e.g., data providers, risk management systems, trading platforms).
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Charles River IMS (Investment Management Solution) and its core functionalities, including order management, portfolio management, trading, compliance, and risk management.
- Experience with production support and troubleshooting in a financial services environment, particularly with trading and investment management software.
- Familiarity with SQL and database queries for monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and performance tuning
- Knowledge of JavaLinux/Unix, and other scripting languages is a plus.
- Experience with APIs, integrations, and system connectivity (e.g., trading venues, data feeds) is beneficial.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in production support or a similar role, preferably with experience supporting Charles River IMS or other investment management systems.
- Previous experience working with financial services or asset management firms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceInformation TechnologyFinance, or related field. Relevant certifications or experience in financial software systems is a plus.
