Our client, a forward-thinking organization in the food production industry, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the upkeep and functionality of critical equipment and plant facilities. The successful candidate will have a proven background in the food manufacturing sector, with strong leadership abilities and a hands-on approach to maintaining operational efficiency.

Focus:

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure smooth plant operations with minimal downtime.
• Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to enhance equipment reliability and lifespan.
• Take charge of recruitment and training efforts for new maintenance team members, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Coordinate and oversee plant improvement projects, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with local and federal building codes, OSHA standards, and food safety regulations.
• Provide continuous guidance and support to the maintenance team, encouraging skill development and process improvement.
• Facilitate effective communication between maintenance staff and other departments to align maintenance activities with broader operational goals.

Skill Set:

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training in Industrial Mechanics or a related field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with certification in Commercial Electrician and basic programming highly desired.
• Hands-on experience with cryopack and winpack machines.
• In-depth knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with food safety protocols and compliance, including knowledge of SQF standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team.
