Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading company in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Technician. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment troubleshooting to keep our production lines running smoothly and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Focus:

• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment, including mixers, conveyors, cooling systems, and related machinery.
• Conduct troubleshooting and repairs, using tools to diagnose equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Manager to identify maintenance needs and report issues.
• Maintain organized work areas and complete work orders efficiently.
• Complete daily checklists and assist with any equipment issues impacting production.
• Train and support line operators to ensure proper use and upkeep of machinery.

Skill Set:

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar maintenance role, ideally within a food production or industrial setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanics or engineering are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read diagrams, interpret sketches, and follow manufacturer guidelines.
• Prior experience with Cryovac and Winpak machines
• Basic electrical skills and familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal, with a focus on teamwork.
• Proficiency in basic math and ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
