Job Title: Commercial Construction Superintendent

Location: Baytown/Houston, Texas

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Construction Superintendent with extensive experience in ground-up projects, particularly in tilt wall construction and driven/cast-in-place pier piles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee all phases of ground-up construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
• Tilt Wall Construction: Manage the planning and execution of tilt wall systems, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to meet project goals.
• Foundation Oversight: Supervise the installation and quality control of driven and cast-in-place pier piles, ensuring compliance with design and engineering standards.
• Team Leadership: Direct and mentor on-site staff, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and manage timelines to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety on-site, conducting safety meetings, training sessions, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs, reports, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically in ground-up commercial projects with tilt wall and driven/cast-in-place pier piles.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
• Proficient in construction management software and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work effectively under pressure.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, LEED) are advantageous.
