Title: Search Engine Optimization Specialist
Location: Milwaukee, WI - onsite
Pay: $ 40-45.00/hr on a W2
Lenght of Assignment: 6 months
Our client is seeking an SEO Specialist to support our organic growth objectives by leveraging best practices in search engine optimization. This role will work closely with a cross-functional team, including product managers, designers, content creators, and data analysts, to drive SEO strategies that increase visibility and boost organic traffic. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning, executing, and measuring SEO initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct keyword research and perform competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Implement and manage technical SEO audits, ensuring changes are executed and performance is tracked.
- Oversee content production through content calendar planning, collaborating with writers, and providing SEO guidance.
- Develop methods to track, report, analyze, and improve SEO performance, presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with in-house marketing teams, developers, and product teams to implement SEO-driven features and website enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date on SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to continuously refine strategies.
- Act as the SEO advocate within the organization, communicating strategy scope, goals, and timelines effectively.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in SEO (4+ years preferred for managerial level).
- Strong expertise in keyword research, organic search competitor analysis, and SEO performance tracking.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, SimilarWeb, Google Docs, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and an interest in leveraging them for SEO.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to process and prioritize workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, project management skills, and a data-driven approach to SEO.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and technical SEO.
- Experience with CMS platforms and an understanding of additional marketing channels (e.g., PPC).
