Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing our firm’s financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, and maintaining precise financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and code vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies
  • Prepare and issue payments via checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain organized and detailed accounts payable records for audit and reporting purposes
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and inquiries
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
  • Support special projects and process improvements within the finance department as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with legal industry practices and regulations is a plus
