JobSquad is assisting one of our clients that has an immediate need for a Permitting Analyst. This position will be working out of the company's Miami office located in Wynwood. Although this position will be working out of the Miami office, this position may require candidates to travel up to 200 miles to resolve permitting issues. All travel will be reimbursed or paid for in advance by the company.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Permitting Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in navigating and resolving permitting challenges to facilitate seamless solar installations. This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel to various cities within a 200-mile radius to address and solve permitting issues in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and manage necessary permits for residential solar installations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and ordinances.
- Travel to various municipalities (within a 200-mile radius) to address and resolve permitting issues, ensuring that project timelines are met.
- Collaborate with local government officials and departments to secure necessary approvals and address any concerns or obstacles that arise during the permitting process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permitting documentation and communication, ensuring that information is easily accessible for team members and stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that all permitting requirements are understood and integrated into project planning and execution.
- Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate potential legal or financial risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts in permitting departments to facilitate efficient processing and approval of permits.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the status of permitting activities, highlighting any issues that could impact project schedules or budgets.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in permitting, compliance, or a similar role, preferably within the solar or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and permitting processes for solar installations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with government officials and team members.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel frequently within a 200-mile radius to address permitting issues as they arise.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
