Quality ISO Specialist

MetalexManufacturing Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and quality-minded individual to join our Total Quality Team working in our ISO area of expertise to help manage the ISO9001 and AS9100 Certified Quality Management System. Metalex’ customer base goes across many industries and each has their own unique requirements which must be understood and met. The successful candidate will be detail oriented with proven experience in reviewing and helping to implement and meet those processes.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Experience working with certified Quality Systems or similar field preferable.
  • ISO9001 knowledge.
  • AS9100 knowledge preferable.
  • Internal Auditor training required, Certified Lead Auditor training preferred.
  • Experience hosting and leading External Customer Audits, including third party audits, such as regulatory ISO Audits.
  • Experience working directly with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Ability to write and update Internal Procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of Technical Engineering Drawings.
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance include data analysis and trending.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills (Root cause)
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Applications (especially, ppt, excel & word)
  • Highly conscientious, diligent and team oriented
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy a must and fully capable of multitasking
  • Strong Technical proficiency must be able to use computers well and generate reports.
  • Ability & desire to grow, learn new things and take on new responsibilities as expertise elevates

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Create and update documents that support our Quality Management System.
  • Support the facilitation of 2nd and 3rd party external audits.
  • Maintain records of supplier approvals and nonconformance documentation.
  • Maintain training records.
  • Support additional quality functions such as Customer scorecards & complaints, SDS database, cost of poor quality, preventative maintenance records, etc.
