Process Engineer

LHH is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team at their Indianapolis plant. In this role, you’ll play a key role in optimizing operational performance by taking ownership of line processes, driving improvement systems, and ensuring production goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical expert and trainer for cell and operations team members, guiding them in system usage.
- Lead and maintain the Centerline management system, identifying critical improvement areas.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and plant facilities to support and track improvement projects.
- Coordinate Focused Improvement projects, engaging team members, contractors, and vendors to meet project milestones.
- Drive strategies for loss elimination through Daily Direction Meetings.
- Lead startup, training, and educational initiatives to support continuous improvement projects.
- Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders at various levels.
- Oversee Daily Management system assessments to optimize plant performance.
- Design manufacturing processes to meet new product and market requirements, ensuring quality and cost goals are achieved.
- Work cross-functionally to anticipate and mitigate risks to projects and production goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Food, or Biological Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in continuous improvement and operations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to gather data, analyze findings, and make impactful conclusions.
- Self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Competitive pay range of $62,000 - $85,000 annually, bonus opportunities, matching 401(k), and stock purchase plan.
