Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior, Staff, or Principal Research Engineer (depending on experience) to join our cutting-edge team focused on advancing technologies in 3D Perception and 3D Generation. In this role, you will conduct pioneering research and development in areas such as 3D scene understanding, object recognition, 3D asset creation, and generative models, driving breakthroughs that will shape the future of computer vision, graphics, and artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cutting-edge research in 3D perception (e.g., scene understanding, object recognition, 3D reconstruction) or 3D generation (e.g., procedural modeling, neural rendering, generative models).
- Develop novel algorithms and systems that enhance 3D understanding or automate the generation of 3D assets for applications in gaming, AR/VR, robotics, or simulation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product teams, and other researchers, to translate research insights into practical applications.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in 3D perception, computer vision, AI, and related fields, and apply this knowledge to ongoing research.
- Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, contributing to the advancement of the field.
- Mentor junior researchers and engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a research-oriented environment.
- Work closely with leadership to define research directions, set project milestones, and ensure alignment with overall company goals.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a focus on computer vision, AI, or 3D graphics.
- Strong experience in 3D perception technologies (e.g., 3D scene understanding, depth sensing, sensor fusion) or 3D generation techniques (e.g., procedural modeling, GANs, neural rendering).
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong mathematical and algorithmic skills, with a deep understanding of computer vision, AI, and graphics concepts.
- Proven track record of research publications in top-tier journals and conferences in areas such as computer vision, graphics, or AI.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Fluent in conversational Mandarin is highly desired.
- The base pay range for this role is between $144,813.00 to $211,928.00 annually and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
