Quality Assurance Test Engineer- Capital Markets/Foreign Exchange

Our client is currently seeking an Quality Assurance Test Engineer for their Capital Markets/Foreign Exchange team.

This position is Hybrid to Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, execute, and analyze automation test scripts and results.
• Ensure that application and system products meet defined quality standards.
• Accurately estimate testing efforts and coordinate with team members on work activities.
• Design and build automated testing capabilities.
• Collaborate in product design to ensure comprehensive test coverage meets end-user requirements.
• Record test results, report, and verify software bug fixes against automation criteria.
• Take on leadership responsibilities, influencing the direction and prioritization of automation efforts.
• Coordinate with program and development management teams to align product quality requirements with shipment schedules.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in writing automated scripts using languages such as SQL, VBScript, Java, and Python.
• Experience in designing and building automated testing frameworks with tools like Cucumber, Selenium, and UFT.
• Ability to develop customized testing tool capabilities as needed for applications under test.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Financial Domain, with at least 5 years in Capital Markets.
• Strong analytical skills to comprehend complex business logic and calculations.
• Experience in designing automated test scripts and validations for ETL/ELT solutions across multiple parallel processing pipelines.
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
