Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator will report to and assist the Sr. Transportation Manager in executing AEG Transportation Strategy for GA, Commercial, and Military segments. This position will support initiatives that help control and lower transportation costs. This position will regularly interact with multiple internal departments in response to transportation inquiries and communicate with external Third-Party carrier partners.

Position Description:

  • Engage AEG carrier network to obtain line haul rates and associated transportation costs to support GA, Commercial, and Military request for proposals.
  • Work closely with both Supply and Tender teams to respond to RFPs and provide guidance on transportation pricing for activity and optimization.
  • Maintain carrier line haul rates, fuel surcharges, and accessorial pricing in transportation databases.
  • Research discrepant carrier and customer transportation fees for accounting and sales teams.
  • Conduct carrier billing error tracing and update Transportation Cost Validation reference document.
  • Coordinate with billing and other internal departments as needed to resolve transportation pricing disputes.
  • Use various data sources to generate reporting that will drive better business decisions and evaluate carrier key performance indicators.
  • Prepare/collect cost, revenue, margin, and demurrage data for monthly Transportation Metrics Report.
  • Be a key contributor to the annual Transportation Request for Proposal. Generate RFP data and administer carrier award rollout.
  • Manage onboarding process for new carriers including vendor setup, carrier terminal clearances, and driver certification.
  • Manage terminal loading numbers for U.S. truck rack locations.
  • At times will support projects across the broader Supply & Bulk Logistics departments as well as all of AEG.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required (3yrs of experience may substitute for Education)
  • 0-2 years of experience in the fuel supply industry with a focus on the U.S. marketplace and particularly within the jet fuel / aviation space.
  • The ideal candidate will possess logistics industry contacts across all forms of distribution, as well as proficiency in the aviation fuel space.
  • Refined scheduling experience preferred (truckloads and/or pipeline transfers)
  • Strong data analytical experience with the ability to produce useful reporting from various data sources.
  • Excellent skills using Business Intelligence Applications like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle BI.
  • Strong experience in Excel, along with Microsoft Office software.
  • Proficient organization and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in a fast-paced 24/7 logistical operation.
  • Self-starter who excels in helping to create and sustain a world class Fuel Logistics network of Third-Party Carriers.
  • Business and relationship development with key operations and logistics providers: working closely with FBOs, trucking companies, suppliers, and other service providers.
  • Critical thinking and analysis of delivery requirements: Assist in creating the lowest cost method to reliably supply fuel via Third Party Logistics.
