Job Description:

Role: Devops Manager

Technical Skills Primary

  • Day-to-day management of test environments including deployments incidents and changes
  • Preventing conflicts and collisions between multiple groups seeking access to limited resources
  • Essential Background on monitoring and analysing the infrastructure and applications logs using Dynatrace and Splunk
  • Experience with Kubernetes cloud bees and spinnaker
  • Knowledge on any one of the OS Linux Windows
  • Hands on experience on ServiceNow Jira and Confluence Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on either infrastructure or application
  • Excellent problem-solving interpersonal presentation and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability.
  • Experience working in fast paced collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge on ITIL processes .
  • Essential Background of working with RDBMS PostgreSQL Oracle for application development dB placement design tuning DDL promotion upgrades.
  • Ideally Sql Server in addition to one of the above.
  • Essential self-motivated and willingness to pick up new DB Challenges.
  • Intermediate experience 3-6 years so willing to pick up day to day tasks i.e. not a lead.
  • Graduate Postgraduate qualifications and ideally worked in financial company fintech.
  • Ideally used to working in Agile Jira Rally Kanban Confluence experience.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • DevOps skills GIT Liquibase Cloud exposure Ansible Terraform a bonus.
  • Ability to think outside the box and no depend on runbooks.
  • May be required to work outside normal working hours if needed.
  • Day-to-day management of test environments including deployments incidents and changes.
  • Preventing conflicts and collisions between multiple groups seeking access to limited resources.
  • Balancing budgets with timelines and other constraints to provide developers with the systems they need.
  • Forecasting hardware and database demand managing conflicts between groups with competing goals.
  • Ensuring that the test environment is properly configured and maintained.
  • Supporting testing across multiple generations of interconnected systems.
