SUMMARY

The Logistics Specialist effectively coordinates day-to-day logistics operations for Gozney and its customers. Responsibilities include supporting outbound orders and returns, tracking, filing claims, driving key metrics, and pushing process improvements. The specialist must proactively communicate with the internal sales teams and 3PLs to ensure freight is routed, shipped, and delivered on-time and ensure customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Manage order routing across multiple transportation platforms (Werner, POL, Manhattan Associates, etc.).
  • Oversee container pickups from factories and track shipments to destinations (US, UK, AU, DE).
  • Prepare and share monthly shipment forecasts with freight forwarders.
  • Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Update ERP systems (NetSuite) for inbound shipments, transfers, returns, and stock adjustments.
  • Address customer inquiries promptly and route them through appropriate channels.
  • Arrange special shipping accommodations as needed to meet unique requirements.
  • Audit freight invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • File and manage freight claims when necessary.
  • Ensure all services meet required quality standards and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance supply chain efficiency and organization.

RESPONSIBILITY BREAKDOWN

  • Route and track orders (45%): Manage the routing and tracking of shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Inbound container management (30%): Coordinate and track inbound containers from factories to destination points.
  • Customer support (15%): Respond to customer inquiries and resolve shipping-related issues through proper channels.
  • Filing claims (10%): Prepare and file freight claims as needed, ensuring timely resolution.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role, with a focus on transportation and shipping coordination.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems (e.g., Werner, POL, Manhattan Associates) and ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.
  • Strong understanding of freight and shipping operations, including container pickups, international shipments, and working with freight forwarders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing purchase orders, shipping documents, and freight invoices.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to manage freight claims and special shipping arrangements.
  • Exceptional communication skills for interacting with internal teams, customers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
