Construction Project Engineer

Who We Are:

With over 37 years of experience, TIS continues to excel in serving the healthcare, commercial, and institutional tenant improvement industries. We are seeking passionate, team-oriented project managers to join us.

What We Need: We're in search of individuals who understand the following:

• Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of mechanical system types, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety (FLS), energy management systems (EMS), walls, and other essential components of commercial project assembly.
• Blueprint Proficiency: The ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications.
• Construction Management Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-standard processes such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and bulletins.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with teammates, clients, subcontractors, and local and state governing agencies.

Skills:

• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in contemporary construction software, including Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and PlanGrid. TIS utilizes several technology-based programs for project tracking and operations.
• Project Engineer: Assist with construction schedules and manage RFI’s, submittals, and change order logs.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Project Engineer (PE), Construction Project Coordinator, Construction Project Manager Assistant
• OSHPD/HCAI experience and its processes would be helpful
• Applicant must be located in Southern California / Los Angeles Area.
