DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Consultation and Needs Assessment: Collaborate closely with sales teams and clients to understand their energy storage requirements, challenges, and objectives. Conduct comprehensive technical assessments and analyses to identify optimal battery solutions that address client needs and deliver maximum value. Provide expert guidance and recommendations on battery technologies, configurations, and integration options to meet specific project requirements.

Solution Design and Customization: Design and engineer customized battery solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client, considering factors such as energy capacity, power output, space constraints, and environmental considerations. Develop detailed solution architectures, including system layouts, component specifications, and integration plans, to ensure seamless deployment and operation.

Prototype Development and Testing: Lead the development and prototyping of innovative battery solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to optimize performance and efficiency. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototype designs in laboratory and field environments, analyzing data and refining designs to meet performance targets.

Technical Presentations and Demonstrations: Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features, capabilities, and benefits of our battery solutions to clients, partners, and stakeholders. Articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, tailored to the audience's level of understanding, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our solutions.

Project Management and Implementation Support: Serve as the technical lead on battery projects, collaborating closely with project teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful implementation and commissioning. Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients during the deployment and integration of battery solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing system performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a technical engineering or solutions engineering role, with a focus on battery technology, energy storage systems, or related fields.

Deep technical expertise in battery chemistry, cell design, energy management systems, and related technologies, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design and engineer innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences, including clients, colleagues, and executives.

Customer-focused mindset with a passion for understanding client needs, building relationships, and delivering exceptional service and value.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in solutions engineering, or similar role, in the li-ion/energy storage systems or automotive industry a plus.

  • Strong technical background with expertise in renewable energy and/or battery systems, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

  • Methodological knowledge on how to conduct Root Cause Analysis (practical experience is a plus)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Korean is a plus)

Degree Level: Bachelors

Field: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineer, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Establish and maintain customer relationships to increase customer satisfaction;

• Attends periodic review meetings with field service teams of main accounts in responsibility;

• When on-site, surveys installation environment and operating practices and checks for compliance with supplier requirements and industry standards;

• Contributes to internal contract review process, with focus on warranty terms and conditions;

• Owns and manages the remediation process in case of valid under-performance claim, in close coordination with project owner

• Provides applied training on the battery system operation & maintenance to Customer’s field service teams;

• Coordinates and schedules the deployment of hardware or software upgrade across the installed base of battery projects.
