The Engineering Manager will lead a team of systems engineers and field application engineers focused on energy infrastructure products. This role involves overseeing the technical support and development of solutions for our EV chargers, PV inverters, PCS, and battery energy storage systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of energy technologies, strong leadership skills, and a passion for supporting customers in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor a team of application engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop team capabilities through training, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Provide in-depth technical support for energy infrastructure products, including EV chargers, PV inverters, PCS, and battery energy storage systems.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers, sales, and product development teams.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Lead technical presentations and workshops to demonstrate product features and benefits.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee application engineering projects from conception through execution, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on project objectives and timelines.
  • Product Development Support:
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D teams to provide customer feedback and insights for new product development.
  • Support the development of technical documentation, including user manuals and installation guides.
  • Market Trends Analysis:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to energy infrastructure products.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements based on market demands.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting testing and validation of products as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Field Application Engineer greatly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in application engineering, technical support, or product development within the energy sector.
  • Proven experience with energy infrastructure products, particularly EV chargers, PV inverters, PCS, and battery energy storage systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience with one or more energy infrastructure products such as BESS, EV chargers and/or PV inverter/PCS.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within the US and to Asia for discussions with development teams.
