Electrical Engineer

Inatsuka Engineering LLC provides our clients in Hawaii with top-notch electrical design services and advice for their Power, Lighting and Fire Alarm systems in buildings. We prepare plans and specifications for projects, large and small, but will also provide assessments on existing systems. In short, we help our clients solve problems with their electrical systems.

This job might be for you if:

• You can and want to continually learn a mountain of new skills, computer programs and boring codes (yes, unfortunately…) from experienced senior and mid-level engineers who have been practicing for years.
• You can work effectively in a small team environment.
• You understand and agree that meeting deadlines are critical to our success.
• You can communicate effectively and respectfully with our clients, fellow staff and colleagues.
• You have a ‘Bruce Lee – Be like water’ ability to be flexible and adapt to situations that continually change, despite the UNchanging deadlines.
• You understand that the details are important AND assumptions are the mother of all mess-ups.

You have experience 2-3 years or more with the following:

• Delivering plans and specifications (and all the little tasks along the way) for small or large projects with power, lighting or fire alarm systems.
• Were responsible for communications with clients through letters, phone calls and emails. Collaborating with clients and other consultants in meetings.
• Coordinated and resolved conflicts in the design before AND after construction drawings were issued to the contractor.
• Met your deadlines consistently, without causing excessive stress (a little is helpful, though) to you or your fellow staff members (especially your boss).
• Having your PE license is very helpful, but not essential.
