DataVox is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the Enterprise Sales department in Houston!

What You’ll Do:
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to support our team by providing consulting and design support to enhance our enterprise networking practice. This individual will act as a technical resource in order to set up and deliver presentations and demonstrations to customers, and to assist with determining their overall business and technical solutions.
- Ability to talk about technical subjects and deliver technical presentations to a wide array of audiences
- Will utilize technical proficiency in a customer facing environment
- Leadership capabilities to assist in managing additional technical resources for meeting the account needs
- Ability to work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross functional teams to meet sales goals
- Will travel to prospective customer sites as necessary
- Ability to deliver detailed documentation and accurate Bills of Materials for hardware/software solutions
- Pricing and scoping of engineering services and creating a Statement of Work
- Craft and deliver attractive solution proposals to customers
- Contribute to the sales team’s ability to meet sales quota targets
- Develop technical relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor
- Develop technical relationships with vendors DataVox provides
- Invest in continued education to stay up to date on latest technology
- Provide oversight and assistance to the implementation teams who are implementing your designed solutions to customers
- Assist management and sales teams on positioning technology solutions
- Align with sales team on customer engagements and opportunities
Successful Candidates will Possess:
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- A strong working knowledge of networking (enterprise route/switch and wireless)
- Provide technical expertise in customer engagements specifically around Enterprise Networking, Wireless and Network Security portfolio’s
- Design and implementation experience with enterprise networking products (firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless)
- RF Design experience is a plus
- Desire to learn multiple solutions across a wide range of enterprise networking, security, and data center network technologies
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba and Juniper solutions
- 3+ years of experience working in Consulting, VAR, or other equivalent
- Experience working in a sales engineer or solution architect role
- Ability and experience in designing and accurate solution BOM, accurate scoping of services and scope of work creation
- Working knowledge of SDN solutions is a plus
- Ability to lead design consultations, demos, and proof-of-value for customers
- Ability to develop high-level designs and architectures to ensure smooth transition from design to delivery
- Ability to assist customers and account team with understanding and architecting appropriate network, wireless and/or security solutions
- Ability to position the designed solution against OEM competition
- CCNA or other vendor certifications DataVox provides is preferred
Physical Demands:
Work involves standing, talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects like laptop, cell phone, or controls and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, balance, stand, and drive. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will need the ability to uphold stress of daily travel. Regular, predictable attendance is required, including hours as business demands dictate. Light to moderate lifting is required.
