Position: ?? Field Engineer – Simulator Projects
Are you a hands-on IT enthusiast with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for travel? As a Field Engineer with us, you'll be instrumental in driving our mission to deliver state-of-the-art simulator installations across the U.S., supporting customers with everything from system design to troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Installations & Commissioning
- Perform hands-on installation, assembly, and commissioning of simulator systems, including FAT/SAT activities.
- System Design & Documentation
- Create technical specifications, system design drawings, and prepare supply lists; participate in product scoping during sales phases.
- Technical Solutions & Quality Control
- Identify and evaluate technical solutions, preferred models, and vendors for third-party equipment; ensure quality control throughout project completion.
- Customer Support & Upselling
- Provide dedicated support via email, phone, and in-person visits; seek upselling opportunities during customer site visits.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Tackle both software and hardware issues, conducting operational readiness checks and addressing deficiencies as needed.
- Health, Safety, & Quality Compliance
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and follow the Quality Management System to ensure a high standard of work.
Your Background
- Practical IT Experience
- You’re an IT enthusiast with experience building and troubleshooting computers. Formal education is valued, but hands-on knowledge is essential.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PC and network installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, with a solid foundation in MS Windows, MS Office, and low-voltage electronics wiring. CAD, Visio, and XML knowledge is a plus.
- Industry Experience
- 2-3 years as a Field Engineer or in a similar role, with maritime or simulation experience being advantageous.
- Communication & Customer Focus
- strong customer engagement skills.
- Travel Flexibility
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the U.S. to support customer sites.
