Manages daily activities in the organization's benefits function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Evaluates and selects employee benefits (including health insurance, life insurance, profit sharing, disability, pension, or retirement plans) with the goal of creating an attractive and competitive benefits program.
• Collects data on industry standards and practices to determine competitive positioning of the
organization's benefit offerings.
• Regularly renegotiates or re-evaluates vendors in search of opportunities for cost-saving.
• Manages open enrollment: schedules and leads meetings or information sessions, drafts and sends employee communications, answers questions or inquiries, and transmits enrollment data to vendors or administrators.
• Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the system to provide accurate deductions for the client.
• Manages a team.
• Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
• Coordinates the design and communication of annual benefit enrollment materials, compliance
documentation (SPDs, SARs).
• Prepares bid specification and analyzes proposals for vendor carrier contracts.
• Responds to client benefit inquiries
