Position Overview:
Oversee and refine all aspects of Cravings retail operations, ensuring smooth, efficient and scalable processes across supply chain, logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment. This individual would run all retail operations with one analyst as backup and work closely with senior leadership to align operational goals with the company's strategic vision. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing complex operations and a proven ability to streamline processes and complete all work through Cin 7 inventory management system to support rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational processes, including supply chain, logistics, inventory management and order fulfillment, ensuring efficiency and scalability
- Lead the operations for the company working with and mentoring a junior operations analyst and growing the department in the future
- Coordinate with and support the sales team to meet retailer forecasting needs
- Coordinate with and support the product development team through new supplier and co-man sourcing and onboarding activities
- Coordinate and support the product team with testing and certification requirements
- Coordinate with the marketing team on label and packaging updates and timing of POs for campaign and content planning purposes
- Accurately close out all Cin 7 movements monthly by the 5th day after month-end to allow for the accounting team to close books. Coordinate with the accounting team on close activities related to complete and accurate inventory receipts, invoices, cost and value analysis.
- Use provided retail demand plan to plan production runs and verify needs against expiring inventory
- Annual ingredient and packaging supplier and co-man forecasting and blanket annual PO planning
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms, managing POs and developing inventory plans to direct to different warehouses based on demand needs
- Monitor inventory levels across all sales channels to avoid stocks outs and optimize in warehouse and Amazon levels.
- Monthly dated inventory reporting
- Identify areas for operational improvements and implement best practices to optimize performance and reduce costs
- Develop and maintain key performance metrics to measure operational efficiency and inform decision making
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies across all operational activities
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or related filed (Master’s degree preferred)
· 5+ years of supply chain leadership and team management role with demonstrated success in scaling and optimizing complex operations
· Ideally has experience in startup environment
· Proven experience managing supply chain, logistics, and inventory processes within a high-growth organization
· Excellent project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple operational areas simultaneously
· Data-driven mindset with the ability to implement and analyze KIPIs for continuous improvement
· Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
· Significant experience with the management of co-man and material supplier relationships
· Omnichannel inventory management experience (Amazon, DTC, Retail)
· Consumable ingredient sourcing, formulation, and product spec
