Maintenance Technician

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Canik USA’s manufacturing facility. Responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment according to schedule. This includes lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and inspecting for potential issues.
  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions. Utilize technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and your mechanical expertise to identify and resolve problems.
  • Supports outside suppliers performing equipment and building maintenance.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected failures. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Performs general facilities repairs drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and supplies necessary for equipment maintenance and repairs. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required parts.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and production personnel to troubleshoot complex issues, implement improvements, and support continuous process optimization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
  • Knowledge facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Capable of operating in an evolving and often unstructured environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and switch gears quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
