As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping our clients state-of-the-art recycling facility running smoothly. This dynamic role offers an opportunity to showcase your expertise in maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment, from heavy mobile machinery to intricate conveyor systems. Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, conveyors, balers, shredders, and other industrial recycling machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with managers, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate extensive repairs and ensure seamless operations.
- Perform comprehensive repair work, including hydraulic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, and basic fabrication tasks, as well as preventive maintenance.
- Meticulously document repairs and maintenance activities through detailed work order reports.
- Identify and source necessary parts and equipment replacements, leveraging computer and internet resources.
- Demonstrate versatility by working in various positions, including kneeling, bending, crouching, and operating elevated lifts for extended periods.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to all safety requirements and leading by example in promoting a safe work environment.
- Embrace a culture of continuous improvement by providing and receiving constructive feedback for coaching and development.
- Exhibit flexibility to work various shifts as needed to support operational requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in industrial troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment or in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to balance team and individual responsibilities while building consensus.
- Unwavering commitment to integrity, ethical conduct, and upholding organizational values.
- Possession of personal basic hand tools.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
