Low Voltage Maintenance Technician

The technician will immediately respond or attend to any of the problems, malfunctions / Breakdown of the equipment/s as may be conveyed by the Customer or any of its employees and correct the malfunctions to ensure that the equipment is fully operational. Additionally, inspection activities to prevent failures must be carried out throughout the year.

[Job Description / Responsibilities]

1) ACS (Access Control System)

  • Visually inspect all major components (badge controller, badge reader, electric door hardware, V2 server, etc.)
  • Repair any minor faults (controller, Card reader, not include electric door hardware)
  • Replacement unit if problem not fixable.
  • Pre-planned preventative maintenance visits.
  • Check history of system since last maintenance visit.
  • Visually inspect all major components (including cabling & connections where accessible) for signs of deterioration or damage and rectify as necessary.
  • Check power supply status as necessary.
  • Check mains & stand-by power supplies including charging rates.
  • Check all control equipment (e.g. readers, pin-pads, locks, strikes, closures) for correct operation and programming (include. time/date settings.).
  • Check controller & card reader status (by client pc).
  • Check controller’s structure for correct operation.
  • Check emergency manual exit devices for correct operation (card reader door).
  • Check NTP time server (date/time correct)
  • Check badge network switch status (SFP & UTP cable connection)
  • Carry out any minor adjustments or repairs.
  • Log test results.
  • Mobile Badge system check (Speed Gate, Card reader etc.)

2) CCTV

  • Visually inspect all major components (CCTV camera, bracket, housing, etc.)
  • Replacement unit if problem not fixable.
  • Pre-planned preventative maintenance visits.
  • Check history of system since last maintenance visit.
  • Visually inspect all major components (including cabling & connections where accessible) for signs of deterioration or damage and rectify as necessary.
  • Check all control equipment (e.g. monitors, VMS servers) for correct operational and programming (include time/date settings).
  • Check SVMS server correct operational and programming.
  • Check lenses for correct focusing & operation of auto-ins and adjust as necessary.
  • Check viewing angle (correct field of view and adjust as necessary).
  • Check cameras transmitter and receiver status as necessary.
  • Check SOC security equipment (46”Monitors, client pc, USB RX & TX).
  • Check CCTV network switch status (SFP, POE consumption; UTP connection).
  • Check the satisfactory transmission of images to remote site (where applicable).
  • Inspect brackets, housing & associated fittings for corrosion or damage.
  • Ensure clamping bolts/brackets are tightened correctly.
  • Repair any minor faults.
  • An Engineer will physically check the CCTV system to make sure it is fully operational and report any defects or damage.
  • Return the system to operational status (where applicable).
  • Full reporting of maintenance visits by email (Log test results)

3) Speed Gate

Technician is 1st line responder and shall support the following work-related tasks:

  • Monitoring whether it is operating normally.
  • Will check the log history of system regularly.
  • Operation status check, visually inspect all components, sensor status check, glass panel status check, CPU status check.
  • In the event of a failure, check the basic inspection elements and contact the maintenance vendor.

4) X-Ray / Metal Detector / Smart Search / LPR / Etc.

  • Monitoring whether it is operating normally.
  • Visually inspect all major components, alignment checking.
  • Power check, sensitivity check, visually inspect all components.
  • In the event of a failure, checking the basic inspection elements and contact the maintenance vendor

[Qualifications]

  • Junior college or higher with at least 2+ years of related work experience.
  • High school graduate with at least 4~5 years of related work experience.
  • Must also have basic knowledge of IT devices (PCs, Servers, etc.) and networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex Device issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Job Related Certification is a plus
