Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Controls Project Manager to lead cutting-edge building automation projects in the heart of San Francisco, CA. This role is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in BACnet, DDC controls, and advanced control systems while managing the execution of large-scale mechanical construction projects. As a critical player in the commercial mechanical construction industry, you will oversee building automation systems' planning, design, and implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of building automation and control system projects, including scope, schedule, and cost management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement BACnet, DDC controls, and system integration with platforms like Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of building automation systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and timeline adherence.
- Monitor project progress, resolve technical challenges, and provide leadership to ensure successful completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in controls project management, with a proven, stable work history in the commercial mechanical construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio for design and documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of BACnet, DDC controls, and familiarity with systems such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, ALC, and Schneider Electric platforms.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
