Senior Product Manager - Data Products

GEICO is seeking an accomplished, data-driven, and results-oriented Senior Product Manager for our Enterprise Data Products. This role will continuously monitor advancements in data products, innovation in related industries, competitor solutions, market trends, and best practices to drive a cutting-edge data product portfolio.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the evolution of GEICO's enterprise data strategy. You will be responsible for leading product strategy, driving the development and execution of product roadmaps, and ensuring that our data product solutions meet the needs of our internal stakeholders while driving business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, analytics, operations, and business leaders to deliver high-impact data products that drive business growth and operational efficiency. You must be comfortable influencing at all levels of the organization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data platforms in alignment with business goals and technological advancements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond, for data platform solutions.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to gather insights and inform product decisions related to data management.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on stakeholder feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility, making trade-off decisions when needed.
  • Drive product development efforts, including defining requirements, managing backlog, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data platform releases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and drive consensus on key decisions related to data management and governance.
  • Continuously monitor data platform performance, analyze metrics, and iterate on features to optimize user experience and business outcomes.
  • Connect with internal customers to regularly understand their data needs and build long-lasting relationships.
  • Identify options and recommendations, working through trade-offs with other leaders to remove impediments for the team.
  • Oversee product rollout plans, user segmentation, product adoption strategies, and opportunities for promoting data platform solutions.
  • Partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant, and scalable data platform solutions that solve material business problems.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and security teams to develop and implement robust data governance frameworks, privacy controls, and data policies across the enterprise.
  • Ensure that data platform solutions adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies regarding data privacy and security.
  • Drive the implementation of data classification, data lineage, and data access controls within the enterprise data platforms.
  • Develop strategies for metadata management and data cataloging to improve data discovery, understanding, and utilization across the organization.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering successful data management or analytics products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data platforms, including ETL tools and processes, data quality management, metadata management, and analytical data management.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and database technologies.
  • Experience with big data technologies, cloud data platforms, and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and driving positive change in data management practices.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Certifications in data governance, privacy, or information security (e.g., CDMP, CIPP, CISSP).
  • Experience with data lineage tools and metadata management systems.
  • Knowledge of data ethics and its application in enterprise data management.


Annual Salary
$143,000.00 - $224,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
