Provable is seeking an ambitious Accounting Manager with a CPA who is eager to take on comprehensive responsibilities in running a business, reporting directly to the VP of Finance.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of finance and accounting, including managing firm assets, corporate finance, tax, technical accounting, and data management. The ideal candidate will also be immersed in blockchain technology, learning the nuances of crypto while working on exciting, cutting-edge crypto projects that are integral to the company's future plans.

This position will provide a dynamic environment where the candidate can grow professionally while contributing to the company's innovation and growth in the blockchain space.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the VP of Finance to develop and refine financial strategies and support overall business planning.
  • Ensure excellence in financial reporting, budgeting, procurement, and treasury management.
  • Oversee daily financial operations, including risk management, cash flow tracking, and financial planning, while reconciling fiat and digital asset positions across various bank accounts and crypto wallets.
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping and reporting.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and financial institutions; manage audit preparation and support for internal and external audits, including documentation of internal control procedures.
  • Coordinate the development and reporting of the annual operating, capital, and program budgets.
  • Provide strategic financial input on decision-making issues affecting the organization, such as potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers, and pension fund investments.
  • Support new product launches and initiatives by determining proper accounting treatments and implementing necessary reconciliation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company regulations related to financial control and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with Product Engineering teams to streamline processes for greater efficiency and transparency.
  • Develop and implement policies for revenue recognition, as well as reconciliation of related assets and liabilities with supporting internal and external data.
  • Assist the VP of Finance in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members, while supporting ad hoc financial requests.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field
  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in finance and accounting. Preferred a mix of public and private accounting.
  • Audit experience highly desirable
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator with stellar interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex financial data in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in crypto, blockchain, web3, NFTs, or other similar industries is a plus
