Our products are used by millions of customers on a daily basis. The Alexa Mobile organization is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive large cross-organizational projects.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing large, complex technology initiatives across multiple teams and organizations.
- Developing the overall strategy for large programs across all stages from concept to delivery.
- Meeting challenging business goals and showing measurable improvements for customers, engineering efficiency or business results.
- Understanding the architecture of the systems with which you work, influencing technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven analysis.
- Setting project priorities and recommending resource allocations to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Communicating ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including engineers, Directors and VPs.
- Fostering a constructive dialogue, reconciling discordant views, and leading the resolution of contentious issues to partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Establishing exemplary program management practices to set an example for others.
- Defining clear goals and objectives to routinely and efficiently deliver the right things.
- Driving crisp decisions in your program area about project prioritization, risk management, and conflict resolution.
- Mitigating issues and impediments before they become roadblocks.
- Applying project management best practices and increasing the productivity of the teams with which you work.
- Simplifying processes to improve the effectiveness of the entire organization.
- Actively participating in the hiring process as well as mentor others, improving their skills and ability to get things done.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and a changing environment, at a rapid work pace

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
