POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Asset Manager will serve as the primary contact for initiating and managing commercial agreements with Motiva, Esmax and other Aramco assets. Take charge of negotiating extended transfer prices, developing plans and operational terms, resolving escalated concerns, delivering market intelligence, and pinpointing opportunities for global optimization within the downstream system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage negotiations for the establishment and administration of commercial agreements with Motiva, Esmax and other Aramco assets.
Ensure comprehensive coverage of long-term transfer prices and other planning and operational terms in line with market practices.
Offer insights into market trends, pricing forecasts, and strategic planning to facilitate informed decision-making.
Address and resolve escalated issues related to the performance of Aramco Trading's obligations and vice versa in collaboration with Motiva, Esmax and other Aramco assets.
Work closely with Motiva, Esmax and other Aramco assets to identify and capture optimization opportunities across the downstream system.
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive strategies for negotiating, establishing, and administering commercial agreements with affiliated assets.
Ensure meticulous alignment of transfer prices, planning, and operational terms with market practices and prevailing conditions, consistently reflecting industry standards.
Provide expert-level commercial and contractual consultancy to Motiva and Esmax, delivering in-depth market intelligence, and generating accurate price forecasts to support informed decision-making.
Play a pivotal role in addressing and resolving escalated issues related to the performance of Aramco Trading and affiliated assets, fostering effective communication and conflict resolution.
Collaborate closely with Saudi Aramco to explore, identify, and capture global optimization opportunities within the international refining system, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency.
Maintain a proactive stance in staying abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes, integrating relevant insights into the development and execution of commercial agreements.
Contribute to the development and continuous refinement of policies and procedures within the Asset Management division, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, compliance standards, and organizational objectives.
Oversee compliance initiatives, implementing robust frameworks to monitor adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure implementation of risk management strategies within the Asset Management function, conducting thorough assessments, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation plans to safeguard Aramco Trading's interests.
Take charge of capacity building initiatives for the Asset Management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill enhancement, and professional development.
Collaborate in the budgeting process, working closely with financial teams to develop and manage budgets for the Asset Management division, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial adherence.
Actively engage in strategic discussions and decision-making processes related to budget allocation, demonstrating a focus on optimizing operational efficiency and achieving financial targets.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Global Head of Asset Management, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the Asset Management Team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, finance or a related quantitative field of study.
A minimum of 5 years of pertinent work experience in the domains of oil refining or chemicals, with a focus on sales, logistics, or production planning.
Exhibit an expert-level understanding of the petroleum refining and chemicals sectors, and associated industry trends, market dynamics and regulatory changes
Substantial experience in managing negotiations and executing comprehensive strategies for commercial agreements, particularly with a focus on the oil refining or chemicals industry.
Fluent in business English; working knowledge of Spanish desired.
Proficient in negotiation techniques to effectively establish and administer commercial agreements with affiliated assets, ensuring favorable terms for Aramco Trading.
Strong analytical capabilities to comprehensively cover long-term transfer prices, planning, and operational terms, aligning with market practices and industry standards.
