In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive global sourcing strategies for aluminum and related products. Your primary focus will be on achieving cost-effective procurement, ensuring timely delivery, and maximizing return on investment.CITIZENSHIP : Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder and able to work for any U.S. Employer Without SponsorshipKey Responsibilities:Strategic Supplier Management:
Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection processes. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and monitor performance to ensure continuous improvement.Risk Mitigation:
Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and support new product initiatives.Process Optimization:
Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and implement best practices.Supplier Continuous Improvement:
Generate and present supplier performance metrics, manage corrective actions, and lead time reduction initiatives.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Extensive knowledge of the aluminum industry, including both domestic and international markets.Proficiency in commodities and derivative transactions.Ability to travel domestically 25-50% of the time.Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.Experience with ERP/MRP systems is beneficial.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited institution.5-8+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement role related to aluminum.Background in purchasing within a manufacturing or engineered product environment.Experience with global supply chain initiatives and strategic planning.C.P.M., CPSM, or CPIM certification is preferred.Join us and contribute to a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the field of commodity management.
