Description:

This sales role is a customer facing ambassador and is responsible for BioTherapies reaching its annual sales goals through securing contracts for our business.

BioTherapies offers products and services to Cell and Gene Therapy developers who are developing novel therapeutic approaches to curing life threatening diseases. This a business unit of that plays a central role in the provisioning of what is still the most widely used life-saving cell therapy in the world, bone marrow and hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

• Cultivate and build a sales pipeline in the C> marketplace

• Close contracts with clients on financial terms that ensure the financial viability of the organization as well as the true value of the products and services that are delivered

• Develop and implement account strategies to drive both short term and long term growth in revenue for gene therapy.

• Engage in activities (both customer-facing and behind the scenes) that demonstrate mastery of certain subject matter and deep engagement with this emerging area of medicine (speaking at conferences, participating in webinars, writing of white papers, as examples)

• Cultivate and help build a partnering ecosystem to deliver to clients an end-to-end solution to efficiently develop and deliver cell therapies

• Contribute to the Sales and BD team meeting or exceeding its annual departmental goals

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of:

• Advanced knowledge of project and program management principles, risk management and application of delivery solutions, systems, organizational change management, and business process analysis

• Knowledge of business analysis a strong plus

Ability to:

• Ability to develop critical relationships with marketplace stakeholders

• Demonstrated understanding of the cell and gene therapy marketplace

• Ability to interpret business’s goals and develop the business’s strategies and tactics to achieve them

• Strong negotiating skills

• Results oriented and focused to assess customer needs and market trends within the context of product and business capabilities and translate assessment into workable strategy

• Cross-group collaboration skills to work across internal stakeholder groups

• Sound personal judgment and application of creative solutions to solve problems effectively and efficiently

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize

• Willing to take risks and make tough decisions without complete information and assume responsibility for results

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing including professional and creative presentation skills

• Strong work ethic and ability to develop priorities and manage time appropriately

• Ability to work successfully within a team environment

• Ability to integrate innovative ideas to accomplish corporate and individual objectives

• Ability to travel up to 25% or more to attend industry conferences, internal meetings, and visit both current and potential customers

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in the life sciences. Upon evaluation, a combination of equivalent education and/or experience in addition to the required experience outlined below may be substituted for the degree requirement

• 5+ years of experience in the cell and gene therapy marketplace, preferably with a strong existing network of potential sales contacts
