Basic FunctionJoin LyondellBasell as the Infrastructure Services Leader at LYB, a pivotal role within our Digital Technology (DT) organization. The Infrastructure Services Leader is responsible for the enterprise IT infrastructure - Connectivity, Compute, and End User Infrastructure at LYB. This leadership position manages a budget of over $45MM with a global team of 4-5 direct managers and 50+ highly effective technical resources. Formulate, implement and drive IT strategies that optimize agility, speed, creativity and flexibility. Deliver stable and cost-effective operational platforms in support of mission critical business systems that align with enterprise growth strategies. This is a senior level leadership role that will have managers reporting to them to drive the day-to-day tactical work of managing the global infrastructure. This role can be based in Mumbai, India, Rotterdam, The Netherlands or Houston, TX.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe leader is responsible for:The design, delivery, development and operations of the enterprise IT systems.Ensuring high availability of IT systems and adherence to change control procedures.Managing Level 1 support agreements across all areas.Involvement with Cyber Operations including anti-virus, firewalls, VPN, and operational security oversight.Working closely with direct managers to ensure high performance and availability.Providing leadership for delivery of 24/7 service operations.Managing capacity requirements to ensure budgeting supports overall financial goals.Running managed services for data center operations including disaster recovery and planning.Managing key vendor relationships and negotiating licensing and support agreements.Developing IT policies and procedures in keeping with business needs and control requirements.Communicating IT issues and keeping management informed on progress.Providing direction and resources to projects for infrastructure components.Developing and implementing IT Infrastructure innovation in keeping with industry trends and business needs.Managing operational and project budgets allocated to the area.Working with IT leadership to understand needs and prioritize IT demands.Managing Capital Investment Proposals and required approval processes for infrastructure projects.Interfacing with Internal Audit for General IT Controls.Establishing best practices for delivery of high quality, standard, scalable solutions.Ensuring management of day-to-day functions and escalations are handled appropriately.
Min. QualificationsMust have experience and understanding in the following areas:Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred.Typically, 10+ years of leadership responsibility managing medium to large complex globally distributed teams.Experience managing multi-level large teams.Experience across a broad range of technologies including Microsoft Office, Servers, virtualization, cloud operations, SQL Server, Cyber Security tools, Network and SAN/WAN/SDWAN, Cisco, telecom, voice and video services.Experience managing datacenter operations, systems monitoring, and backup teams.Experience managing highly virtualized infrastructure with VMware.Experience managing shared SAN platforms.Experience managing security operations groups, specifically Active Directory, end point protection, mobile device management, and email security.Experience managing outsourced service providers.Experience managing and negotiating large vendor contracts for software and services.Experience in architecting the technology infrastructure via understanding of on premise and cloud-based infrastructure components.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.Highly self-motivated, driven work ethic, keen attention to detail and exceptional customer service orientation.Ability to communicate highly technical information in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences.Demonstrated experience with mentoring others on methods and best-practices.Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical skills: ability to perform complex system analysis and draw conclusions.Project management experience is a plus.
