Job Responsibilities:
Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance.
Support department-wide strategies and portfolio trend analysis, forecasting, and risk/control performance.
Lead innovation by identifying and championing large scale initiatives that improve the risk management, profitability, and control oversight of risks for the business unit.
Identify business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicate findings to senior management.
Coach employees on best practices for structuring complex problems, performing analysis, and communicating the results and implications of their work.
Maintain strategic relationships with peers and counterparts across product, technology, and business control functions.

This is a highly visible role that will focus on identifying trends and strategy opportunities related to fraud mitigation, revenue generation, complaints management, and optimizing operational treatment efficiencies.
A successful candidate will work with managers and a group of analysts that are responsible for performing strategic analysis to improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance for consumer products and small business. This position requires a rigorous analytical focus on monitoring for shifts in fraud activity, transactional dynamics, and effectively communicating trends and opportunities for improvement.
Key functions involve developing multi-level queue performance monitoring, identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, executing/monitoring strategic enhancements, and identifying opportunities for technology-funded products and their related buildouts. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of end-to-end fraud detection processes, including both transactional strategy design, alert creation trade-offs between self-service and manual reviews, and the operational processes that enable efficient resolution of alerts. This individual will be expected to understand both first and third-party fraud as well as scams and determine the best treatment strategy for each. The analytics and recommendations will have the ability to influence Detection Strategy, Fraud Operations, Fraud Policy, Work Force Management, Technology, and Product groups.
LOB Required Qualifications:
Strong technical ability with SAS and SQL
Strong strategic thinking skills with a track record of being able to break complex problems down and develop a clear strategy/action plan.
Experience conducting portfolio analysis and segmentation development.
Strong technical acumen to understand data and process flows, especially as it relates to direct decision engine and operational efficiencies.
Ability to work across functional lines and organizational levels to drive results.
Exceptional communication and influence skills - Will be responsible for working both "in the details" and also be able to articulate the "executive-level" summary.
LOB Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Tableau
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Prior experience in retail banking or transactional analysis and strategy
Prior experience in reporting or operational efficiency analytics

Pay Transparency details:
Pay range: $109,000.00 - $153,200.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education, and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
