Your role involves overseeing security departments, developing and implementing protective measures, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. You will coordinate with law enforcement, manage crisis preparedness, and play a vital role in high-profile federal programs. Your leadership, critical thinking, and industry knowledge are essential to our security operations.Compensation & Benefits:Estimated Starting Salary Range for
Director of Security Operations :Pay commensurate with experience.Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Director of Security Operations Responsibilities Include:Identify and implement security protocols to protect guests, staff, and company assets.Create and implement disaster and/or crisis preparedness plans.Review, revise, maintain, and implement the organization's security policies and procedures.Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement for investigations and prosecutions.Serve as a liaison with other company departments to ensure effective communication and strategic direction and vision.Inspect and evaluate security activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies.Develop and implement security/traffic plans for special events.Enforce security protocols and policies, conducting training programs for employees on safety and emergency drills.Conduct regular property visits and management checks.Lead Cherokee’s Emergency Response Advance Team for various high-profile, politically sensitive federal programs.Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local guidelines.Deliver site-specific emergency operation plans, security operational policies, and procedures.Perform threat and vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and needs assessments for new and/or existing program sites.Implement physical, technical, and operational security measures.Manage training and adherence to Security Operation Center (SOC) best practices.Oversee incident reporting and tracking.Design training and educate employees on emergency response actions.Evaluate security equipment and technologies for Incident Management Systems, Communication, Video Management Systems, and Access Control Systems.Conduct Behavior Threat Assessments for potential threats to projects.Provide Open Source/Threat Intelligence for specific site locations, Potential Threat Actors, or groups that may threaten a site, organization, or brand.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Director of Security Operations Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of security or law enforcement experience or a combination of education and experience.10 years of leadership experience required.Military/law enforcement, with complex investigative background experience preferred.Advanced training or certification in ISC security regulations and guidelines, emergency management (FEMA) preferred.Ability to take personal responsibility for assignments, decisions, and results and focus on activities that greatly impact meeting work commitments.Ability to motivate associates to take over tasks and responsibilities to accomplish results for which the manager maintains ultimate accountability.Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Ability to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level.Ability to recognize, anticipate, and resolve organizational, operational, or process problems using effective approaches and tools.Ability to work with various individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.Ability to provide effective guidance, direction, and motivation to the security department and other teams.Ability to create and support an environment that meets the organization's quality goals.Ability to develop and maintain appropriate security levels, ensuring the safety of people and property.Ability to plan and organize the overall operations security within the organization.Advanced knowledge of safety and security operations.Excellent management, team-building, and supervisory skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to meet and maintain certification requirements.Ability to obtain and maintain licensing as required.Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Security Director, Head of Security, or Chief Security Officer.Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.Company Information:Cherokee Nation Management & Consulting (CNMC)
