The HR Coordinator provides comprehensive human resources and payroll support for a diverse range of HR and Payroll Operations Center (HRPOC) clients, including but not limited to Housing & Hospitality, Facilities Management, Information Technology Services, and Events & Transportation. Key responsibilities include coordinating complex onboarding workflows for a high volume of new hires, rehires, promotions, and transfers while ensuring compliance with applicable personnel policies and procedures. This role also involves triaging HR inquiries from client department employees, initiating payroll actions for various personnel transactions, and providing guidance to HR partners and supervisors on hiring procedures. Additionally, the position requires researching, organizing, and maintaining confidential information for employee relations and labor negotiations, serving as a backup for purchase order preparation, and organizing personnel and payroll records. Work assignments are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and directives from Campus Human Resources. The HR Coordinator must independently prioritize tasks amid frequent interruptions, ensure procedures are up to date, and maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive documents and information with urgency.This position will work out of the HRPOC South location.This position will have a Flex Work hybrid schedule, a mix of onsite and remote work. This is subject to change based on the operational needs of the department.

Campus Human Resources provides a full range of human resource management services through its various units, including Health and Welfare Benefits, Compensation and Classification, Personnel Policy development and compliance, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, HR Information Systems, the Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, Learning and Organizational Development and the HR & Payroll Operations Center. The HR & Payroll Operations Center provides human resources and payroll services to a diverse client pool and assists with ongoing campus initiatives and special projects.

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will provide comprehensive human resources and payroll support for a diverse range of HR and Payroll Operations Center (HRPOC) clients. Qualifications

Previous work experience in a HR environment. (Preferred)Ability to interact on a one-on-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to convey information accurately to all levels of staff and with individuals from various social, cultural and educational backgrounds by phone or in person interactions. (Required)Ability to maintain equanimity and confidentiality regarding sensitive issues in a high-volume public contact office where hostility and misunderstandings may arise. (Required)Skill in working independently with minimal direction, in setting priorities and schedules and in identifying and adhering to departmental objectives. (Required)Ability to work a flexible schedule, as dictated by operational needs; some overtime may be required. (Required)Skills in basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) to perform mathematical or computational operations. (Required)Demonstrated knowledge of PCs in a Windows based environment. Knowledgeable of business software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. (Required)Ability to use employee based databases and applications to research information. (Required)Skill in sound time management including prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner. Flexibility with changes in workload, under pressure of deadlines, competing requirements, heavy workload and constant interruptions. (Required)Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, department representatives and management in a high volume public setting. (Required)Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct reports, routine business correspondence and office procedures. (Required)Ability to obtain certificate as fingerprint roller. (Required)Demonstrated ability to analyze policies and procedures and determine compliance of existing procedures and guidelines. (Required)
