is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Software Developer, Senior, to join our team. This position will require fully onsite work at NAS Pax River located in St. Mary’s County, MD. This position is contingent upon contract award.

This position will perform research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
Primary Duties:
Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications.Set operational specifications, formulate, and analyze software requirements.May design embedded systems software.Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Skills and Qualifications:
Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills.Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Ability to work independently.Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines.Detail oriented.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues.Ability to adapt to evolving technology.
Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a technical discipline.In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's Degree may be substituted plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description.In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's Degree may be substituted plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description.In lieu of an Associate's degree, six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description may be substituted.Over 10 years of combined experience performing duties from the job description.Security + Certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of filling the position.Experience coordinating and leading teams in software development and test (desired).At least 10 years of experience with server development- Windows and Linux operating systems (desired).Experience applying system patches and Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls (desired).
Clearance:
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI Secret Security Clearance.
Compensation:
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
