Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, with additional locations in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Colorado, our staff of more than 350 holds professional engineering licenses in all 50 states. Our work takes us across the nation and around the world to design an increasing variety of projects from highways to hospitals, water towers to wind turbines, stadiums to sidewalks, and everything in between.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The VP of Power Engineering is a primary leader within the firm. This position leads client service, technical staff management, engineering processes and procedures, and project execution for the Power Engineering Division.Manage, mentor and lead staff within the Division.Deliver PEC's purpose to our clients, exemplifying PEC's purpose and visionTechnical reputation of the Engineering Division.Promote services of the Division within PEC and outside to current and potential clients through Technical Promotion opportunities such as Key Service Line Leaders and Subject Matter Experts.Workload forecasting and matching staff counts to meet projections. Business development and sales as needed, in collaboration with Strategy organization to provide workload for staff.Workload management of team members in the Division.Division efficiency for production of technical work product.Manage project risks related to technical portions of Division.Develop, implement, and enforce appropriate Business Practices and Quality Procedures specifically related to the Technical Division.Manage Division costs to within budgets.Set Division standards and deliver projects within those set standards.Collaboration between business strategy and technical design teams to achieve company vision.Qualifications :
A minimum of 15 years of actual experience in the design and construction of industrial and/or utility power systems.Professional Engineering license preferred.Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience in managing Technical staff members preferredAccustomed to collaborating with diverse engineering disciplines.Understand current trends within the construction industry and specific Technical Discipline.A high degree of skill in their Technical discipline.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
