Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform advanced professional services and serve as the subject matter expert for work related to projects.

Research, analyze and prepare reports on specialized planning topics.

Identify potential clients, prospect for and solicit engineering work on PEC's behalf. Develop and maintain new client relationships.

Develop proposals for new client contracts. Upon agreement of the proposal, ensure project is completed on time and within project budget.

Coordinate with and assist clients and other professional disciplines on individual projects.

Schedule, prepare, attend, conduct and/or present at meetings with clients.

Meet with senior staff and management on a regular basis to discuss company objectives, long-term goals, and financial performance.

Knowledge and high degree of skill in determining project requirements, setting the project scope of work, determining design budgets, determining preliminary construction budgets, and review of contracts.

Develop and maintain a new book of business consisting of projects that require in-depth engineering analysis via Plaxis 3D.

Responsible for the monitoring of the contribution and performance of team members assigned to the project. Ensure deliverables are accurate and on-time.

Create a detailed business plan proposal for new clients or markets, defining how the project will be identified, pursued, won, and delivered.

Provide mentorship to other employees, where applicable.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or in appropriate field of study required; master's degree preferred.

Fifteen plus years of professional experience required.

Recognized subject matter expert in a specific planning discipline with a detailed understanding of the planning process.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specialized software commonly used by a specific planning discipline is required. Plaxis 3D is highly desirable.

Possess strong public speaking, interpersonal communication and writing skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines in a team environment.
